Mission Statement
This web site is dedicated to helping
you find reputable breeders of true hybrid cats and exotic looking cats.
The breeds we know to be true hybrids,
interspecific crosses of exotic and domestic cats are: Safari, Savannah,
Chausie, Bengal, Bagrel. Breeds
we find very wild looking with no exotic blood are: American Bobtails,
Pixie Bobs, Ocicats.
A little about me: My name is Allen
I started raising cat about 10 years ago. When I got online I started the
website and
discussion group B.O.B. CatZ lite.
This resource I created in order to educate and inform folks about hybrid
cats.
Several groups spun off from this
original website and list. We still have a membership of around 150 even
with the spin off sites.
I started with Bengals, moved on
to American Bobtails, jumped over to Pixie Bobs, went back to American Bobtails,
dabbled in Jungle cat crosses for
a spell. Recently, I have been quite successful at Safaris.
Safaris are a cross between a domestic
and a small cat from South America called a Geoffroy's Cat or Geofferoy's
Ocelot.
They look like small Ocelots...
Cool Huh? I have owned exotic cats and the problem with owning them is
they
will never really be house cats...What
most folks want whether they realize it or not is a wild looking cat NOT
a wild cat...
You have permit issues, inspections,
feeding, enclosures... on and on.... It's a lifestyle basically NOT a cute
pet thing....
Well... I rambled long enough I
suppose....
