CyberTrails, a Leading Provider of Managed and Hosting Services,
Completes SSAE 16 SOC 2 Type 2 Audit
PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CyberTrails (www.cybertrails.com), a provider of managed information technology services, has successfully completed the move to SSAE 16 SOC 2 Type 2 according to the standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
“By leveraging the controls we have in place, we continue to add additional value to our client base by assisting them in meeting their own regulatory and compliance requirements”
Why is SSAE 16 so important?
The report underscores CyberTrails’ adherence to rigorous, industry-accepted auditing standards for service companies. CyberTrails has completed audits according to the SAS70 standards for 4 years. We now have moved further by completing our audit according to AT Section 101, Attest Engagements, of the attestation standards using the Trust Services Criteria (SOC 2 reports).
“In today’s business world with increasing compliancy requirements, it is critical that our customers trust we have the necessary controls in place and are working to the highest standards to ensure their information is safe and secure in our environment,” explains John Allen, General Manager of CyberTrails.
Changes in the regulatory environment in recent years, including those brought about by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Hipaa, require companies to implement controls that ensure the reliability of their data. SOC examinations can help confirm that access to information is internally regulated and limited by physical controls and safeguards.
“By leveraging the controls we have in place, we continue to add additional value to our client base by assisting them in meeting their own regulatory and compliance requirements,” says Allen.
The certification process includes design assessments and operating effectiveness tests of CyberTrails’ policies and procedures, system availability, environmental controls, physical security, logical security, problem/incident management and infrastructure change management.

The right technology can make or break a company. In today’s highly competitive workplace environment, it is becoming increasingly important for businesses to streamline their IT services to improve performance and eliminate inefficiencies.
One simple way to do this is through Sharepoint, a web-based intranet portal that makes it simple for coworkers and even customers to share and access information. Sharepoint is just one of CyberTrails’ Cloud Computing services, and it can help your business increase productivity and become more competitive.
Improved Collaboration
Smart companies know that successful communication and collaboration is key to a highly functioning workplace. Regardless of where the user is located physically, Sharepoint works as a central location that allows access even to off-site users. Employees can collaborate on projects in an interactive, highly flexible workspace that’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
From sharing files and databases to generating reports to locating documents, Sharepoint allows users to store, organize and distribute information. If you’ve ever had trouble emailing a large file to someone, or have had to call someone on vacation to look up a document, this is the answer.
Better Decision-Making
Giving your employees access to a wealth of important information like reports and databases generally leads to better, more informed decision making. Better decision making means a more productivity, and less mistakes.
With Sharepoint, users can apply filters to navigate through data and search for specific information. With this improved access to information anytime, anywhere, employees can make smart decisions based on actual data. Which means you can eliminate the dreaded hindsight conversation (“If we would have known that, we wouldn’t have done this…”).
Saved Time, Money and Resources
One of the benefits of working in the cloud is that it allows you to spend your resources focusing on your business, rather than worrying about your IT needs; and with Sharepoint, the same concept applies.
Instead of wasting money purchasing, maintaining and updating an in-house system, Sharepoint is cost effective and you only pay as you go. Save time by accessing a file immediately, instead of waiting around for it to show up in your inbox. And because users can access files from anywhere, you can even save on employee travel.
When it comes to your IT and systems needs, choose services that allow you to focus on your company’s bottom line. Contact CyberTrails and see how you can simplify how your employees find and share information in the workplace.
