Paying homage to the past and the future by collecting, preserving and disseminating scientific information, while stimulating and encouraging research through the interchange of ideas by any means designed to evoke interest in the sciences, education, literature and history. Recognizing, acknowledging and embracing the diversity of the Petrified Forest National Park and surrounding area as well as assisting in the development, improvement and increased opportunities to serve the general public while advancing learning and knowledge.

The Petrified Forest Museum Association is a non-profit organization that supports research and interpretive activities at Petrified Forest National Park through the sales of interpretive and educational material.
PFMA is an active member of the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce and community events.
