The library is gearing up for the fall holidays, we have many childrens books on Halloween and Thanksgiving available. We are making plans to start a new childrens book discussion program for ages 9-12. The benefits of this new juvenile reading program is to prepare this age group to a higher level of using their library and getting them ready for the young adult section. Also, we want to educate them on the benefits of the non-fiction selection, and how to get reference materials in print and on the internet. This program is due to start right after the first of the year.
Our adult book discussion group is taking a break and will not convene during the months of November and December. The next discussion will be January 16, 2007 at the Concho Activity Center at 4:00 PM. We will be discussing "Animal Dreams" by Barbara Kingsolver. The books will be available by Nov. 1 at the Concho Public Library.
Same Hours and days open.
